This portfolio installation highlights "Whispers of Spring", an official exhibition piece created for the prestigious International Cake Show Australia (ICSA) 2024, hosted by the Australian Cake Decorating Network (ACADA). Representing Sri Lanka in this global showcase, the project features a complex, botanically accurate sugar flower arrangement designed to replicate a fresh garden harvest, demonstrating high-end mastery of gum paste engineering and realism.

Advanced Technical Disciplines & Botanical Realism

• Hyper-Realistic Flora Sculpting: The arrangement features an extensive variety of hand-sculpted sugar flowers. Key elements include multi-toned heirloom roses, delicate petaled poppies, dense clusters of hydrangeas, vibrant alstroemeria, and structural filler blossoms.

• Intricate Foliage & Berry Wiring: Interwoven throughout the bouquet are hyper-detailed sugar elements, including trailing vines, varied leaf textures with realistic veining, unripened raspberries, and bright red wild berries that add organic asymmetry to the composition.

• Fine Botanical Dusting: Every petal and leaf underwent meticulous dry-brush petal dust application to achieve natural color gradients, velvety matte finishes, and lifelike transparency, mimicking live botanical specimens under close inspection.

• Global Exhibition Standards: Crafted to meet strict international presentation criteria, the entire sugar bouquet is structurally balanced and anchored into a custom-textured stoneware vase, combining classical European floral design with advanced sugar craft.
